Subtle Fruit Flavour

My husband grew up in New Zealand, eating honey daily. I used to be more of a jam person until I met him. The honey I used to eat growing up as a kid was just your basic grocery store honey and I didn’t know there was a whole other world of honeys out there. My palate has changed considerably over the years and I have tried so many different flavours now.This arrived very well packed and slightly crystallized. There is such a difference between the ordinary honey you buy at the store and pure, raw, unpasteurized honey. Sunflower has a subtle fruity, yet tangy flavour to it that is not overwhelmingly sweet. A little goes a long way. I bake my own bread and there is nothing better tasting than a slice of freshly baked bread and a spoonful of this honey on it. It just tastes pure and fresh. Once you eat raw honey, you don’t want to go back to the ordinary stuff again.I wish they sold a sampler pack so you could try all different ones they produce. They do offer a variety of flavours and I see that some of them are available in packs of two, three and four, which brings down the price quite a bit.

Delicious complex flavour

I am always happy to support family-owned businesses and am also happy to buy Ukrainian products. I am used to buying local (Alberta) raw honey but I couldn't pass up the chance to try Ukrainian sunflower honey. It came packaged very securely in cardboard and bubble wrap. The honey is in a glass jar with a metal lid. The honey is partially crystalized as noted in the product listing and it does not affect the taste. This honey is a bit tangy and floral. It is a really interesting flavour and I find it delicious. It's a real treat on buttered toast or straight off the spoon.
