Pure Ukrainian Buckwheat Honey 250g

I am always happy to support family-owned businesses and am also happy to buy Ukrainian products. I am used to buying local (Alberta) raw honey but I couldn't pass up the chance to try Ukrainian sunflower honey. It came packaged very securely in cardboard and bubble wrap. The honey is in a glass jar with a metal lid. The honey is partially crystalized as noted in the product listing and it does not affect the taste. This honey is a bit tangy and floral. It is a really interesting flavour and I find it delicious. It's a real treat on buttered toast or straight off the spoon.

I always try to have honey in the house so it's nice that it comes as a 2 pack. This delicious honey doesn't have that strong flowery note like some do, it has a nice clean taste.

I didn't receive the Buckwheat Honey as expected, but instead received the Acacia honey. It tastes great and has a lovely aroma.I also appreciate the smaller bottle size. I find that the larger jar would take longer to finish, and the constant opening and closing can cause the honey to crystallize faster. So, the smaller jar is actually perfect for me.

The honey is good, not too sweet which is surprising. I like it but it's not buckwheat honey. It's just their normal honey. Maybe I got the wrong item delivered?Expiration date is 2026.

I find the color and taste of this honey to be exactly as I was expecting. It has a great sweet taste. It comes solidified as I thought it would, being unpasteurized. The jars were well protected and properly sealed. Nothing bad to say about this at all.

I really like honey and I always prefer honey that is 100% pure and I do prefer raw honey.Honey can be used for so many things. I like to have your traditional sandwich or use it as a sweetener is smoothies or other items that I bake.One thing that I have noticed especially with raw honey is that the taste can vary significantly depending on what flowers are around the beehives.This honey is produced in Ukraine with hives surrounded by wildflowers including sunflowers.The honey came sealed in a jar with a security seal on it. There are 250g. When you open the jar the first thing you notice is that this honey is partially crystallized. It is very thick. This is NOT a problem with the honey. This is what pure honey does and looks like.Despite the thickness of the honey you can still use a knife to get the honey out and you can even spread it on bread with no issue. If you want to make the honey runny you can put it in a warm bath until it "melts".The taste of this honey is amazing. It is one of the better honeys that I have tasted and I have tried a lot.HONIGMA is actually a Canadian company that is well respected in the European market and trying to get into the North American market. I always like to support Canadian companies and will continue to look for products from this company.I do like seeing all of the certification seals including seals from the FDA and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. These certifications cost and it's always nice seeing that a company goes the extra mile to get these.I am very happy with this honey and I do recommend it.

This is mostly crystalized, to the point it stands on a spoon without running at all. Which is perfect for toast and honey because its not a drippy mess. The flavor of this honey is very good, subtle and not over the top sweet. I have had other honeys from this company and I find this one is the most mild I have tried to date. The honey almost cuts like butter, even once the toast warms it up it does not make a mess. The sugar level is also ideal, you get the nice sweet honey flavor without being over the top sweet(ths find that almost stings the back of the throat).It's a bit pricey, so I recommend getting it on sale if possible. The flavor is well beyond your grocery store typical honey.

The honey came VERY well packaged to ensure no damage in delivery. The honey comes from Ukraine.When I opened the jar the majority of the honey had crystallized. I heated it for 20 seconds to liquefy some of it again so it spread more easily. It has a rich golden colour. It easily spread on a buttered slice of sourdough bread.I tested it against 3 other honeys I had in my cupboard. From left to right in the picture are:1) grocery store honey2) farmer’s market golden creamed honey3) Honigma raw sunflower honey4) farmer’s market buckwheat creamed honeyAs you can see, the Honigma honey is a darker, more golden colour, than the creamed and storebought honeys. It’s much lighter than buckwheat honey.The honey has a lovely light flavour, only a little stronger than that of the golden creamed honey. There’s an brief aftertaste of a darker, more robust honey. I’m not a fan of buckwheat honey, so I’m happy it’s milder than that and only has the robustness as an aftertaste.This is a delicious honey.

Two jars of honey, so a decent price.I tried some on a spoon. Good honey taste. Tasted pretty much like the stuff I buy locally. very clear and smooth.Most importantly, this is properly labelled for sale in Canada. Some of the food for sale on this site is sketchy as heck, this honey appears to be valid and fine.Overall a great tasting honey and appears to be legit.

The honey is really thick and has a nice gold color. Taste wise, not too sweet and you do get a hint of spice in it which usually is a marker in wild honey. Pretty sticky as honey should be and feels pure.Gladly its packed in a glass bottle rather than the plastic bear which i am pretty sure is not the best way to pack food. Easy to just pop in hot water if it crystallizes. Should be a good replacement for table sugar which definitely is not the best for the body.Price wise, its on a little higher side, but for the quality, it might be just right. On the first lok and taste, it does feel like a high quality product. With no added sugar, should be great addition to my pantry.

This is my first time trying buckwheat honey, and wow!—what a discovery. The jars arrived crystalized, which is completely normal for unpasteurized honey, especially one with high glucose content like this. Honestly, if it hadn’t been crystalized, I’d probably have questioned its authenticity.The flavour is dark, rich, and complex, with a taste that reminds me of caramel. Initially, I did a taste test straight from the jar. Let’s just say, I did several 'tests' before I told myself to put the lid on and walk away.Since then, I’ve found plenty of ways to enjoy it. It’s amazing on a peanut butter and honey bagel, and it melts perfectly in hot water for a ginger and honey drink.Thankfully, I have two jars, and I’ll try to pace myself through the second one. If you’re a fan of bold, natural honey, this is an indulgence worth trying.

I was so pleased with this raw sunflower honey from brand HONIGMA that I immediately ordered a larger 4-pack of the same. It is 100% pure unfiltered and unpasteurized, and has a scoop-able texture that I found was decidedly easy to spread on things like soft toast and English muffins.I think the taste is entirely unique from regular honey, and the texture is also unique. It is a great conversation starter, as this honey also happens to be made in Ukraine, which was profoundly interesting to me.Overall it is a great choice as an alternative to your normal honey. Highly recommended. 5 stars.

From the bold taste to the rich colour this is beautiful honey. It says that it's partially crystalized, mine was completely liquid but I think that depends on the temperature of your home. This honey makes a wonderful sugar substitute, if perfect for cooking with (I used it in a pork tenderloin recipe calling for honey), it would even make a great gift for a foodie.

I have absolutely nothing against this honey from Honigma. It’s light, golden amber in colour and has a light, non bitter taste. There was zero crystallization and it is certainly an enjoyable honey. I have no complaints. Thanks for stopping by!
